Ingredients
3/4cupsgranulated sugar
1teaspoonground cinnamon
1/2teaspoonsalt
1/2teaspoonground ginger
1/4teaspoonground cloves
2large eggs
1can pumpkin puree15 oz
1can evaporated milk12 fl oz
1unbaked 9-inch deep-dish pie shell4-cup volume
Instructions
Mix sugar, cinnamon, salt, ginger and cloves in small bowl. Set aside.
Beat eggs in a large bowl.
Stir in pumpkin and sugar-spice mixture.
Gradually stir in evaporated milk.
Pour into pie shell.
Bake in preheated 425° F oven for 15 minutes.
Reduce temperature to 350° F and bake for 40 to 50 minutes more or until knife inserted near center comes out clean.
Cool on wire rack for 2 hours.
Notes
Serve immediately or refrigerate for two days. Top with whipped cream before serving.
