Peach Iced Tea is a summertime staple in the south. Make this sweet tea recipe with or without peach whiskey for a refreshing adult treat and garnish with fresh peaches for extra pizzazz.
I fell in love with peach tea when my husband and I first started dating; we were visiting his parents and they had a big pitcher of sun tea sitting on the counter. I started ordering it at restaurants whenever it was available, but I've found that they're usually way too syrupy sweet or fake tasting. Now I make my own with this super simple recipe!
Peach Iced Tea
There's a few different ways to go about adding peach flavor to iced tea. You can use peach tea bags (the method I use), fresh peach juice (found near the orange juice at some grocery stores, but harder to find), peach syrup (like Torani, be sure to cut back on any additional sugar), or make your own peach simple syrup.
For this recipe, you will need:
- black tea (we use Lipton Black Tea Bags)
- peach tea (we use Lipton Peach Tea Bags)
- granulated sugar
- water
- ice
Spiked Peach Iced Tea
If you're wanting to make an adult peach iced tea: add a cup or so of peach whiskey or peach liqueur!
How to Make
We use the "quick chill" method to make our iced tea. You can also buy tea bags specifically for making iced tea that don't require any boiling, but I haven't found those in the peach flavor.
To make peach iced tea:
- Carefully fill half of a pitcher with boiling water.
- Add one family-size teabag and two peach teabags, and steep for three minutes.
- Remove the teabags and sweeten to taste.
- Fill the rest of the pitcher with ice. Enjoy now or refrigerate for later.
If I'm feeling extra fancy (and if they're in season) I like to garnish the glasses with fresh peaches or a sprig of mint. You could also add in a splash of mint simple syrup.
Serve leftover peaches with old-fashioned pound cake and homemade whipped cream!

How to Store
Store this peach iced tea in the refrigerator in an airtight container. The flavors will be even better after they've had time to thoroughly chill in the fridge- perfect to make ahead for a party or gathering. This drink is best if used up within one week, though we never have a batch last that long!
